If I manage to impose myself in the community, I would like to do whatever is necessary to help the youth ... but for the moment I don't really have any power over that, one day Maybe Insha’Allah!

Interview

Greek Cinema Actor-Comedian Yanis Roka

By Azad Karimi

If we imagine the scene of daily life and routine as a movie Comedy is a montage copy of the life by movie. Comedy is our perception of moments when we are willingly or unwillingly criticized for our actions.

This critique view mockingly describes the behaviours that result in failure and disgrace.

The culmination of this critical view is portrayed by Charlie Chaplin in The Great Dictator.

Great comedians, in addition to acting, are also playmakers. I don't mean to deviate from decoupage. Rather, I mean being a stylist in the acting school.

I have to say about Yanis Roka : he is a talented educated actor.

I saw a short video he acting in ...I saw that fantastic, He is sitting in the car with his wife, and his wife inadvertently slaps him in the face while moving her handbag.

When you look at his face the moment after being slapped, it is as if you see a professional gambler who has suddenly lost his whole life to a novice gambler.

An ambiguity in dissatisfaction, a word of "why?" appears on his face, which is very beautiful.

I wish my dear friend Yanis a long life with happiness and more success. I have no doubt he will be a successful comedian.

Thank you!

1- Please present yourself: Name, education, Civil status and...

.Yanis Roka, Atelier du Casting de Paris, single

2-What is your artistic speciality?

 . Actor and photographer

3- When and how did you become interested in this field of art?

. From a young age, I had the 7th art in my blood, it took me a long time to realize that this was what I wanted to do with my life.

4- Who was your motivator?

. I don't really have a model as a motivation ... I would simply say the cinema itself, the love of the game, of the interpretation, of playing being someone else, that fascinates me more that all !

5- What was your parent’s reaction?

. At first, they didn't really react, then there was a little fear on their part to venture into this unknown world .. at the moment, since my first small role in the cinema, they have faith in me more than ever.

6- When did you become such a professional Artist, Actor- Comedian?

.Even now I'm only semi-professional, since I had my chance last year in a big movie that will be released in November of this year.

7- Are you thankful and happy because of your activities as an Actor?

. I am very happy, but I have constant pressure, especially since I put a toe in this world ... it is not easy to manage on a daily basis but, the passion passes over everything and in the end, doing what I love makes me happy.

8- Please tell us, what is the Comedy’s logic, considering that the art of drama has come, but of a tragic kind, from the culture of your country?

. So, I am of Greek origin and we will say that comedy and tragedy comes from my blood (laughter) but you know in Belgium it is very difficult to establish yourself as an artist ... is for me I had to go to Paris several times to push a few doors. Here it is quite closed

9-What is the relationship between comedy and culture? Why should people laugh?

. Art is culture, and the 7th art is just as much! You learn a lot by watching a film or a play ... just on poetry or diction ... especially in the theatre where diction is something essential.

10- How do you see the view about Art, Culture, Cinema, and Comedy?

. I see it as a vocation, a way of living, to perform a role is to live it ... when people watch a film, they live it.

11- Can you become one part of the cultural movement for motivation in youth or new generations in your country and so on?

. If I manage to impose myself in the community, I would like to do whatever is necessary to help the youth ... but for the moment I don't really have any power over that, one day Maybe Insha’Allah!

12- How can you help our world become a better place to live?

. I think everyone should enjoy living and especially living their dreams. Life is too short and we have to accomplish things, but above all for ourselves, mutual aid and tolerance ... and all of this can bring peace to the world.

13- Have you more words to say or suggest for our readers?

. Whatever their dreams are, we have to go for it, everything happens outside our comfort zone.
