*You are not the son of the owner of Farang Castle!*
This is a proverb in Kurdish and in the city where I was born. There is a warning in this sentence. Warning to someone who thinks he is more important than others. This sentence reminds the proud guy that you are an ordinary human being and not the son of the Count of Farang.
This proverb refers to the glory and power of a Count of the Farang country.
Where is the country of Farang? Until the years of the First World War, the people of my home land called France: Farang.
Farang or Frank, Frankon were a ancient French people. I want to tell the story of the Kurds' acquaintance with the Franks:
The story of their acquaintance goes back to the story of the siege of the fortress of Antioch from October 1097 to July 1098. That is the beginning of the first period of the Crusades.
Antioch was an ancient Greek city is made by Seleucus I Nicator in 293 BC. Antioch became a Roman city later. The Antiochenes people were Jew and Christian. Later, Armenians, Syriacs and Kurds were added to the city's population. In Kurdish, Antioch was called Andiw.
Two of the most important factors in starting the Crusades can be mentioned:
1- Destruction of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Bethlehem on 18 October 1009, by Fatimid caliph Al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah.
2-Battle of Manzikert , The Battle of Manzikert was fought between the Byzantine Empire and the Seljuks on 26 August 1071 near Manzikert, theme of Iberia (modern Melazgrd ,Kurdistan area in east of Turkey). The defeat of the Byzantine army and the capture of the Emperor Romanos IV Diogenes played an important role in undermining Byzantine authority in Anatolia, Armenia, Kurdistan and allowed for the gradual Turkification of Anatolia. Many of the Turks, who had been travelling westward during the 11th century, saw the victory at Manzikert as an entrance to Asia Minor. Accordingly, the Clermont Council was formed in France.
The Council of Clermont was a mixed synod of ecclesiastics and laymen of the Catholic Church, called by Pope Urban II and held from 18 to 28 November 1095 at Clermont, Auvergne, at the time part of the Duchy of Aquitaine. At the request of the Roman emperor, the Clermont Council decided to help the Byzantines against the Turks. The leadership of this war was entrusted to Boehmund I.
He conquered Antioch and became king or owner of a fortress there. He also founded the Kingdom of Edessa. This city is located in Kurdistan and is known as Riha. Edessa was the first Crusader state to be created, and also the first to be lost. (1098–1144; 1146)
Baldwin of Boulogne, the first Count of Edessa or Riha, became King of Jerusalem, he married Arda of Armenia in 1097 after the death of his first wife, Godehilde, who had travelled with him on the First Crusade. She was the daughter of a minor Armenian noble named Thathoul (or Thoros), lord of Marash.Marash was a Kurdish-Armenian city.
The overthrow of the County of Edessa by the king of Mosul led to the Second Crusade.
Eight hundred years have passed since then, but the Kurds, Armenians and Syriacs still live in the area, and the Arab element has been added. The reputation of the Count Baldwin family's reputation is still alive in the conversational culture of the people of Kurdistan. They were also very famous with the Kurdish Jews before the Jews because of their rule over Jerusalem.
Finally, I should say: Count of Edessa had not child. When Baldwin I of Edessa and Jerusalem died, his subsequent counts were his cousins. So we can say our proverb refers to 1098 until 1046 and the era of the glory and glory of the Count of Edessa family.
Our world is old, but few nations have an older history than other nations. Interestingly, some new nations make unusual claims to prove their identities. A ridiculous claim! You are not the son of the owner of Farang Castle!

.My name is Axel Deval, I'm songwriter and I live in France, between the cities of Rouen and Paris.
2-What is your artistic specialize?
.I do French song, but remains open to other forms of art.
3- When and how did you become interested in this field of art?
.Quite early, when discovering the Beatles and Queen at seven.
I took piano and trumpet lessons at the time.
4- Who was your motivator?
.I really wanted to write songs.
5- What was your parent’s reaction?
.Instead, they encouraged me to take safer paths (professionaly), without turning away from music.
6- When started you such as a professional Singer and Songwriter?
.After the baccalaureate degree, but I went to school afterwards. It must have been nine years since I really developed this project full time.
7- Are you thankful and happy because of your activities as musician?
.Yes I am very happy and very thankful...
I do what I love, it’s an incredible chance.
8- What is music culture? What is music logic?
.In fact, I’m quite curious. I listen to everything but I’m interested in a lot of things that have nothing to do with music.
The song is my favorite medium of expression rather
9- Why do some songs become immortal?
.I think some subjects are universal, and some melodies too.
Words are as artificial as notes, and some texts or melodies resonate universally.
10- How you see the Music, Singing, Song writing, art and culture in your .perspective? I mean your prediction for the future of music!
I think the music sector is changing, it’s not dying out; it’s changing. I’m pretty confident even though it’s not easy every day.
11- Can you become one part of the cultural movement for motivation in youth or new generation in your country and so than?
.I have the impression that Internet encourages even more the diversity of lifestyles and the emancipation of everyone. Paradoxically, we are also very alienated by our consumerist impulses, very standardized them. I’m having trouble identifying a particular cultural movement. Maybe I want to stay a little neutral about it.
12- How can you help our world become a better place to live?
.I think that music and art in general always have a very important role to play in a society. On my tiny scale, at least try to make people happy.
13- Have you more word to say or suggest for our readers?
.Maybe try to be as much in tune with themselves as possible, and always do things with love (I know it’s a bit utopian).But it brings only positive.
