People find themselves in the lyrics of a song, in the music at a time of their individual or collective life. They dance, they make love listening to the same song. Alchemy is miraculously created.

Interview

French Singer Arnaud Dattola

By Azad Karimi

How does a song come out of nowhere? I don't have the answer and I don't want to know it. For me, it's something totally intuitive.

Intuition... What is intuition? Does this include our rapid perceptions, and understandings of supernatural events without the will and guidance of the subconscious mind?

According to some theories, do all those elements that are supposed to become human experience already exist and exist in the higher world and in the space around us, but are received by some people due to the high perceptual and mental power of some humans?

Is this the same as artistic creativity? Is this the grace of nature to these kinds of human beings or have they been able to achieve this great understanding of the existential power of human beings through practice?

Are all these definitions and descriptions about genius or just the perception of these kinds of people from momentary events?

This is an interesting topic, but it is better to focus on the text of the interview. To be honest, I saw this last clip of Arnaud, Tranquille, a few days ago, it was interesting to me. It was really interesting for me. Because it was an unusual and unique experience of humor, with a special look at sexual culture.

The deconstruction of social norms is very interesting in this clip.

Arnaud's ingenuity in challenging the community is in the tranquility of this park. The park may be quiet, but the events inside do not necessarily reflect the tranquility of the park.

Well! ... I will not go into more detail ... I leave the judgment of this clip to you, the reader of this interview. I wish my dear friend, Arnaud success and happiness ...

Thank you!

1- Please present yourself: (Name, education, Civil status and...)

.Hi! I'm Arnaud Dattola . I was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in 1981. However my parents are French. My father worked there for the french embassy.

2-What is your artistic specialize?

.I'm singer and a musician as well. It's been almost 15 years since I started to compose on my own.

3- When and how did you become interested in this field of art?

.My parents listened to a lot of music when I was a kid. Kate Bush, Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, Prince, Nina Hagen ... their tastes were very varied. Very quickly, I started to write song lyrics. The composition came later.

4- Who was your motivator?

.Show and performance had always fascinated me. As a child, discovering Prince and Michael Jackson totally shocked me! I needed to do the same, haha! Mixing music, theater, visual, dance... that's my dream haha! I have been pursuing the same desire for all these years with the creation of my songs and videos.

5- What was your parent’s reaction?

.My parents didn't see it coming! Before I got serious about music, I tried a lot of things theater, writing, dancing... But my parents have always been very supportive. Besides, my mother took a part in the shooting of my last video!

6- When started you such as a professional artist/ musician?

.When I released my first album, I was 25 years old, I immediately wanted to defend it on stage. With Julien Bressy, we played in small Parisian venues, sometimes playing in front of twenty people. It was a real challenge to introduce my work to people. I tried things on stage, danced with white gloves and a top hat. I pretended to be the mad hatter! It allowed me to meet amazing people who I still worked. I'm a very loyal person!

7- Are you thankful and happy because of your activities as Solo electronic musician?

.Keep creating, exploring new ideas with other artists whatever the circumstances, that's my motto! Collaborating with others is really exciting. For my new video "Tranquille", Adrien Jean gave a touch of madness which I perhaps lacked until now. I'm currently working on the artwork of my next EP with Nakissa Ashtiani, an amazing Iranian artist. Her gaze gives a completely different dimension to my music. I feel very lucky!

8- What is music culture? What is music logic?

. I don't believe in one single recipe. The possibilities are limitless. This is what makes the process of creating magical. It's something quite mysterious. How does a song come out of nowhere? I don't have the answer and I don't want to know it. For me, it's something totally intuitive. Reason or logic has nothing to do with this!

9- Why do some songs become immortal?

.It's something inexplicable. People find themselves in the lyrics of a song, in the music at a time of their individual or collective life. They dance, they make love listening to the same song. Alchemy is miraculously created. Why? I don't have the slightest idea. Serge Gainsbourg used to say that songwriting is a minor art. Basically, all this is not so serious. One day, everything will be forgotten!

10- How you see the Music, Penforming, art and culture in your perspective? I mean your prediction for the future of music!

.It's now very easy for an artist to produce his own music in a home studio, even if it's increasingly difficult to make a living from it. Then you have to invent new ways of reaching the public. Always be more creative, that's the key! Live on stage is the best way to share emotions. Nothing can ever replace that.

11- Can you become one part of the cultural movement for motivation in youth or new generation in your country and so than?

. I think creation is a commitment in itself. It's a form of resistance to reality, to the established world. Composing may be a way of building an imaginary bubble where rules don't exist; where violence, greed, mediocrity are banned. That's what moves me when I listen to an artist like Sufjan Stevens. It's his ability to transform the horror of the world into something beautiful and sublime. It's a militant act in itself.

12- How can you help our world become a better place to live?

.I don't pretend to change the world with my music! I just hope to share emotions with people, take them to a parallel dimension with my sounds and words. That's how I feel useful.

13- Have you more word to say or suggest for our readers?

.I just released a new single "Tranquille". Feel free to check out the video on YouTube! An EP should be released in the next few weeks. I'm really looking forward!
