I am enormously grateful I am able to be a musician. It brings joy and healing to me and hopefully to others. I would love to be playing more gigs right now of course!

Interview

British Australian Musician Adrian Heath

By Azad Karimi

Creativity and artistic expression are gold...Adrian says...

What is an artistic expression? How to perform a work of art in a specific art form.

This expression can be through the performance of a piece of music, opera, theater, or cinema. It is a contractual framework, a defined form of how to execute. This means that you can not use an opera text for a movie.

Of course, each of the defined artistic formats has its own styles and forms of performance.

These can be studied in the history of the evolution of art and art schools. Fortunately, there are many resources available for those interested to search.

This is a great form of humanity. So, congratulations to my dear friend Adrian and I wish him success.

Thank you!

1- Please present yourself: Name, education, Civil status...

. Adrian Heath my two degrees are in Business and Adult Education. I have no formal training in guitar, harmonica or singing though I have done a few valuable courses in song writing. I am still constantly learning .

2- What is your artistic speciality?

.I write and perform songs with guitar, voice and harmonica.

3- When and how did you become interested in these fields of art?

.I played the trumpet as a boy but when I borrowed my sister’s guitar when I was 14 I never looked back.

4- Who was your motivator?

.Songs on the radio. I loved taping them and working out the chords. It was such a thrill to unravel a song’s secrets and I would discover something new about song writing every time. Maybe a new chord or lyric structure. So much better for you than looking it up online as is possible today.

5- What was your parent’s reaction?

.There was encouragement but my voice was very average in those days so no one was getting very excited.

6- When did you become such a professional Musician- Singer?

. That’s kind of you. I played in professional bands throughout my twenties but most of my thirties I didn’t play so much as I was bringing up a family. As a solo-singer songwriter, I feel I started to perform at a level I was happy with within my early forties. Having said that I feel there has been a big step forward in the last couple of years as well.

7- Are you thankful and happy because of your activities as an Artist/ Singer?

.I am enormously grateful I am able to be a musician. It brings joy and healing to me and hopefully to others. I would love to be playing more gigs right now of course!

8- How do you see the view about art, music, singing, culture? What is your prediction for the future of art, song and culture?

.Creativity and artistic expression is gold. Without it what are we? These are challenging times in that regard though I feel many creators are rising to that challenge through online and expanding their ‘fanbase’. I would like to see greater emphasis on the arts by governments. I would also encourage an increased blending of arts with the corporate world as creativity is such an important human and humane modality.

9- Can you become one part of the cultural movement for motivation in youth or new generations in your country and so on?

.Absolutely! I have been involved facilitating musical experiences for groups of people in a community context, often for younger and disadvantaged members of society and this has been a wonderful experience for me and I hope for them too. The possibilities in this field are endless.

10- How can you help our world become a better place to live?

.This is a big question. My intention to do just this has been strong for many years and has played out in a number of ways. I think the best answer I have right now is for me to be as authentic as possible. This is the best path for us all to follow and if others see this in me and as a result leads to them being truer to themselves then I have succeeded.

11- Have you more words to say or suggest for our readers?

.Whatever you wish for yourself in life, just give that to others and you will receive what you need. Also, get a guitar and leave it in the living room, you may need it one day.
