Interview

Georgian Pianist Nino Gurevich

By Azad Karimi

First of all, I congratulate Nino's parents for raising a successful child and again I congratulate them for presenting a successful woman to society.

Ms. Nino remembers her good teacher with respect ... A good teacher is a genius because can recognize which of her students can progress and become an elite.

Years ago, I saw a film about the famous French singer Edith Piaf ... ... Part of it was about how her teacher taught Edith. This teacher was very diligent and wanted to make Edith a myth, and finally, our world saw an eternal star in the sky of art: Edith Piaf... It was because of the diligence and careful evaluation of the Edith teacher who recognized and trained her to become an immortal artist.

Dear Nino is trained by her musician parents, they encouraged their daughter to become a professional musician.

When I think about the people of Kurdistan and the oppression of the people of that mythical land, my tears boil in my heart and melt inside me like a molten volcano ...

The people of my land - Kurdistan - have great and worthy talents, many of whom flourish with successive sufferings and failures and spend a lot of time. But with all these sufferings, the Kurds have their own myths and stars that are in the hearts of Kurdistan people and have been immortalized ... Like Mayram Khan ... She was a Kurdish woman from Dergul who was born in the year 1904 and died in Baghdad in the year 1949.

Dergul, the capital of the kingdom of Badr Khan Pasha, the king of Kurdistan is in the nineteenth century and is located near Shernakh in northern Kurdistan. Mayram Khan lost her family because she was interested in music and wanted to be a singer. Her husband was one of the princes of Badrkhani who was forced to separate from his wife Mayram Khan due to social pressures and this emotional failure eventually destroyed Mayram Khan... The relics of Mayram Khan's eternal voice were recorded on Radio Baghdad and are fortunately available in the Kurdistan Cultural Archive.

Throughout my life, I have encountered many women who have been oppressed, oppressions that could not have been, but unfortunately existed and still exist, and continue to overshadow the lives of women in Kurdistan. That is why I am happy to see successful women and I wish success to the women of the people of my dear land of Kurdistan.

The young Nino, this Georgian lady living in Munich, Germany, is an example of an energetic and hard-working woman who aspires to educate the youth of Georgia to serve her country and make that part of the world more beautiful for love and happiness.

I wish to progress and happiness to my dear friend Nino.

Thank you!
