Interview with Kenyan Craftsman
Hellen Patrick

By: Azad Karimi

When I was child, I bought a old book from 1970 under title of The Golden Book...

Golden Book was a series book for kids and was full of basic and simply information about different cultures in across the global, our world. I bought that book because of its amazing pictures and fantastic data about Africa.

I became acquainted with Africa through this book. In this book, I read about Tanzania, Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Kenya, Pygmies, Bushmen, Maasai, Boyers, and Zulu. Of course I watched The Snows of Kilimanjaro a film By Henry King from USA. The film is based on a novel by Ernest Hemingway. Kilimanjaro is the name of the highest mountain in Africa. Between Tanzania and Kenya.

Kenya is a young country with old culture... Kenya try to be a democratic country.

I interviewed with Hellen Patrik from Kenya, she is an artist- craftsman. It was wonderful watching her works.
I sent her my questions and she sent me back the answers. I wanted to share our conversation with my readers. She has arguments about her goals and arts.

Best wishes for you Dear Hellen Patrik. Take care of yourself good and family. God bless you!
