When I think about this type of humans in our world, I be thankful and happy .I say to God: You are wise and great, Because you show beauty and perfection in the art and talent of these people.

Of course, I haven’t forgotten talent and beauty are abstract concepts without practice. So by my opinion, who is perfect that knows self nice and by attempt shows the abstract concepts as creative phenomena which is called a work of art.

Nick Rogers is one of the thousands of creators of the universe. He is the model I spoke of: talented, aesthetic and creative. Please read our interview and I promise you will not regret it.

I wish my dear friend Nick Rodgers and his family happiness and lucky.

Thank you!

.Nick Rodgers, Married, Studied 20th century modern art at Essex UK College, City and Guilds in metalwork, panel beating, welding.

Work for 5 year apprenticeship in panel restoration on Rolls Royce, Jaguar, Aston Martin, and other rare classic cars.

  1. What is your specialize?

.My specialist field is 20th century modern art of St Ives England.

  1. When and how did you become interested in this field of artistic work?

.Artists of the 1930s through to the 1970s. Barbara Hepworth, John Milne, Lyn Chadwick, Ben Nicholson Sandra Blow, Dennis Mitchell etc.

6- When started you such as a professional craftsman-artisan?

.I spent 15 years restoring rare and classic cars having done a 5 year apprenticeship after leaving college. This period of my life gave me an understanding of all types of metal and its beauty when formed by hand. I made panels for rare prestige cars and preformed total restoration from the chassis up. This period of my life took many turns of which I produced a car of my own design which took 3 years to make the moulds in fibreglass, hand shaping every panel until I was ready to go into production.

The company named Lynx Kit Cars made 15 cars in its life span and sold mainly in the UK. After this period I opened a company in design offering clients my knowledge of 20th century art in their homes and this lead to the opening of my first gallery in Leigh on Sea Essex . Here I bought and sold Scandinavian modernist furniture, sculpture and art from the great designers of mid century modern. The likes of Ray and Charles, Eames, Arnie Jacobsen , Vernor Panton, Guzzini, John Milne , etc . After opening my 3rd gallery selling wonderful objects I decided to take on huge premises of 3,500 sq feet called Paris Art. I restored a building which took many months giving it that modernist look of which I love. I spent many a happy year there selling art from artists worldwide. In that period I also restored some period property, a 500 year old listed cottage and an Arts and Crafts cottage of the 1890s which lead to coverage in magazines like Period Living of which I had interviews and front page covers. This knowledge amassed over the time I used collectively of which the BBC asked my opinion in my later years on various antique programs. I enjoyed this time in panel work, restoration, and sales of art, and property restoration which totalled 42 years in all.

7- Are you thankful and happy because of your activities as artisan?

.Having 3 children to support and various overheads I used all the above to make a living yet my heart was always in making my own sculpture in the influence that gave my great passion, as mentioned, mid century modern .

10- How can you help our world to become a better place for living?

This passion in hand making my own sculpture in my style has taken all of the above. Those apprenticeship years of understanding metal, welding, art form and amazing design has now given me the opportunity to live the rest of my life sculpting. I moved from the UK to Spain 2 years ago and in that time I have been lucky enough to live that passion and now produce my own Sculptures. My happiness now is the pleasure it gives myself and others.

11- Have you more word to say or suggest for our readers?

Being recognized as the artist I have yearned to be is without doubt a blessing of which I am grateful to those who purchase my works and give such kind remarks. Long may this dream continue?

Nick Rodgers
