How can I help our world? I think you should always start with yourself. Just live your life, decently and nobly, forgive more, not do mean things. And then it will come back to you too. What goes around comes around.

Interview

Ukrainian Theater Actor Artem Yemtsov

By Azad Karimi

Artym's beautiful face reminds me of Mam's character in the movie Mem and Zin: a calm face with a soft and captivating look.

Artym is a theater actor from Ukraine, the country of the Iliad and Odyssey epic. The people of Ukraine are famous for their beauty. Ancient Greek poet Homer wrote the epics of the Iliad and the Odyssey beautiful and immortal.

The stories of the Iliad and the Odyssey are about the ancient heroes of Kiev, the capital of Ukraine.

There is the story of the ancient Kurdish heroes in the Kurdish Book of *Shanamay Kurdi*, compiled and written by Almas Khan Kenuleii in 18th century.

I want to tell you briefly about the tragic story of Mem and Zin!

I said: Artym's eyes looks like Mem in Mem u Zin movie. The tragedy of Mem and Zin is the most famous love story of the people of Kurdistan. The story of the failed love of Mem and Zin, which ends with the death of Mem in prison and Zin's suicide in the Tigris River, Was a reflection of the lifestyle and social relations of the people of Kurdistan, which has its roots in thousands of years of history. Ahmad Khane, the great poet of Kurdistan, who is known as the father of Kurdish poetic literature, wrote this masterpiece in the 1691.

A film based on this romantic tragedy was made in 1991 in Turkey. The film is directed by Ümit Elçi  and written by Hamza Özbal and starred the famous writer, Musa Anter.

Wikipedia says: Musa Anter (1920 – 20 September 1992), also known as "Apê Musa" (Kurdish: Apê Musa‎, literally "Uncle Musa"), was a Kurdish writer, journalist and intellectual and was assassinated by Turkish JITEM in September 1992.

In Kurdish literature, there are other romantic tragedies such as Khaj & Siamand, Shirin and Farhad, Vis & Ramin, the oldest of which are Vis & Ramin from the seventh century BC.

The kind face of Artym, Ukrainian theater actor, took me to the depths of the history of the people among whom I was born, the Kurdish people and the old and beautiful land of Kurdistan. This view is familiar to me, because it is the view of the ancient land of Ukraine, which Homer the Greek, wrote about its heroes 2800 years ago, the Iliad and the Odyssey.

I wish my dear friend Artym , the best with long life and more success.

Thank you!
