Since I am graduated young citizen I already became a part of the academic society in my town and country. Right now my task is to justify that position by making great works.

Interview

Bosnian Graphic Designer Armin Numanović

By Azad Karimi

Young people are human capital, and any country that plans this capital will be a successful country. I was interested in Armin's last sentence when he wrote: "Normal" for other isn’t always "normal" for you.

In my opinion, this is one of the basics of aesthetics. And that means being inspired by nature and phenomena. And art is a means of expressing our perception of these natural phenomena. Artist's work expresses her/his understanding of what others often think is natural but not natural to the artist.

The question is, how does this capacity come about for the artist?

Intrinsic talent is basic, but how does this talent come to the fore? And how does this stage grow and reach the realm of creativity? At this point in time, competition is an important factor in motivating artists and the role of high education is very important for training creative artists. Funding for the artist to produce a work of art is essential. Artist's confidence in financing and guaranteeing well-being for the future is also crucial, on the other hand, the artist should not be concerned about insurance and welfare and medical services, and countries should consider solutions to this issue. Armin is a talented artist. He has a pure heart. He is kind and noble. Surely, he will be useful for his country. Congratulations to Bosnia for having this type of artists, of which Aarmin is one.I wish him the best in his life with success and happiness.

1- Please present yourself: Name, education, Civil status and...

. I am Armin Numanović. I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Visoko and I am 25 years old.

2-What is your artistic speciality?

. I graduated Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo in field of Graphic Design in 2018, currently working on my master degree, also in field of Graphic design and illustration in Sarajevo.

3- When and how did you become interested in this field of art?

. Since I was a little kid i put my interests in art and drawing, but during my high school days (Grammar school) I was part of Young Theatre group where i made my first posters, flayers and stage props for stage plays.

4- Who was your motivator?

. Key motivator was my Bosnian literature professor, who mostly pushed my creativity trough high school projects and class presentations. She also recommended me to attend the academy in Sarajevo.

5- What was your parent’s reaction?

. My parents always knew I am little "weirdo" and, definitely, I had their support when it’s about design and academy. To my mind in that stage of life it’s the most important thing for the young boy or girl.

6- When did you become such a professional artist, Graphic designer?

. I can say that when I started with the academy I became a graphic designer. In that period beside school projects and exams, I started to work as a freelancer and made many successful projects for my clients, such as book covers, posters, but mostly illustrations. In my behance portfolio You can find some of them.

7- Are you thankful and happy because of your activities as a Graphic designer?

. Absolutely! I keep repeating that, if I am young high school boy I would attend academy again! Graphic design is a perfect field to express all your creativity mixed with commercial and marketing elements making a perfect work which will communicate to the public.

8- How do you see the view about art, culture, Graphic design?

.There in my country we have creative people so i can conclude that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a rich country, but problem is a government who sometimes forget about it, so artists and designers like me have to find they own ways to present their works. But thankfully, we have universities and professors who help young people about it and make new educated and good quality generations of designers.

9- Can you become one part of the cultural movement for motivation in youth or new generations in your country and so on?

.Since I am graduated young citizen I already became a part of the academic society in my town and country. Right now my task is to justify that position by making great works.

10- How can you help our world become a better place to live?

.As a graphic designer i can help in a better visual communication mostly, but also I can make our environment to look more beautiful, for example my illustration for the mural in Sarajevo.

11- Have you more words to say or suggest for our readers?

.I would like to say that finding an inner peace and satisfaction by choosing right professions is a key step to the happiness. By that you can became the best in your field.
